At Low Cost Ignition Interlock, we have made the ignition interlock device installation process very simple.   Each of our service locations are state licensed, LCI Certified and insured. All of the service provider technicians have been thoroughly screened and are experts in many automotive electrical systems. Our engineers are constantly updating and improving our technology to make sure the installation is efficient and compliant with all local ignition interlock laws.

As one of the most affordable and efficient service provider of certified ignition interlock devices, we offer bilingual electronic video training to our clients to make the entire IID program as easy as possible.  Our technicians will also provide hands-on training,  post installation, to  address any concerns.

After watching the training video, you will electronically sign a Low Cost Ignition Interlock Monitoring Agreement and any required state-specific forms. The Monitoring Agreement outlines the frequency at which you need to bring your interlock in for calibration and the cost for each download and calibration appointment. It also lays out any interlock restrictions that may apply.

The Monitoring Agreement has an option to sign up for LCI’s Equipment Protection Plan (EPP). This EPP covers damage or theft while the ignition interlock device (IID) is in your possession. We value our IID at $2,400, so the optional EPP is a cost effective way to protect yourself against any loss or destruction of the device.

Your interlock device can only be installed by a Low Cost Ignition Interlock approved technician.

Unqualified installation or service will subsequently invalidate the product warranty, may invalidate the warranty of the vehicle, and LCI will accept no liability for consequential damage to the vehicle.

Despite popular belief, the installation of your car breathalyzer will not damage your car, or drain the car battery.  It is important to keep in mind that, if the vehicle starts with a remote engine or is a smart start, it will be disconnected when the interlock device is installed.

1. State Issued Driver’s License or Identification Card
2. Vehicle registration information including VIN and license plate number
3. Court and/or DMV papers with case number, court address, judge, attorney, county
4. Debit/Credit card
